Are you the person that everyone calls when something goes wrong? You handle it, absorb it, and keep going. Somewhere along the way, you may have stopped having anywhere to put your own weight.
If you have been telling yourself that things are not “bad enough” for therapy, or that you will deal with it when life slows down, consider this: not having the time or space to care for yourself may be part of what is weighing you down.
I work with adults carrying trauma, chronic stress, grief, and burnout while continuing to perform at a high level for everyone around them. This includes attorneys, executives, physicians, nurses, educators, finance professionals, and other high-performing individuals whose exhaustion may not be visible to the people around them.
I also support adults navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, major life transitions, racial identity, women’s issues, self-esteem concerns, chronic illness, sleep disruption, and the unique strain that can come with being the dependable one in a family, workplace, or community.
My clinical experience has been shaped by working with people across many different stages of life and levels of need. My background includes seven years as a mobile crisis clinician responding to psychiatric emergencies, four years conducting comprehensive clinical assessments across inpatient and outpatient settings, and fifteen years as a Certified School Counselor working with children, adolescents, and families. These experiences have taught me how to recognize both the struggles that are immediately visible and the ones people have become very skilled at hiding.
Therapy with me is direct, practical, and collaborative. We will not simply manage symptoms around the edges. Together, we will look at what may be driving the patterns that keep showing up and develop practical strategies for creating meaningful change.
My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and trauma-informed care. Rather than forcing you into a particular method, our work is tailored to your needs, experiences, and goals.
You can expect honesty, a plan you understand, and a therapeutic space where you do not have to perform, have all the answers, or take care of everyone else.
You do not have to arrive with everything figured out. And you certainly do not have to be in crisis to deserve support.
Many of the people I work with spent a long time convincing themselves that they could handle it on their own.
If you’re ready, let’s find a place to start.
